Caryaire model AG 663 is a non-return, gravity operated damper for air conditioning, ventilation, air intake and exhaust.
Its horizontally mounted blades rotate freely on a horizontal axis. The damper is normally closed, and air pressure or air velocity opens and closes it. It is manufactured in either aluminium or galvanized steel sheet.
Back draft dampers are used in HVAC systems to let air flow in one direction and prevent airflow in the opposite direction. The pressure at which the pressure relief damper starts to open is adjustable.
